Gocardless Integration - Existing Mandates and Plans

Hi, I've attempted to get help via chat, but struggled to get a definitive answer.

 

I'm looking to integrate Gocardless with Quickbooks. I understand that existing mandates can be matched with customers, but regarding the active Gocardless plans / subscriptions, should these be cancelled to avoid charging the customer twice?

Hello Andy888, Welcome to the Community page,  if you import the existing mandates into QuickBooks then send then create the invoices in QuickBooks you should find there is only one charge to the customer.

You could cancel them in GoCardless and reset them in QuickBooks however then you would have to send new mandates.

We'd suggest importing the existing mandates when you connect GoCardless in QuickBooks, more detail on that can be found here
