How do I get online quickbooks and the app to sync my bank account data?

I've had endless issues updating the link from the quickbooks app to my bank account.  The app has now taken to assuring me that it is linked but does not display any bank transactions.  The website version does display the bank transactions.  How do I get these to both show the transations?

I understand that you're experiencing some hurdles with having your bank transactions show in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile application. There are a few troubleshooting steps we can take to ensure that both the QuickBooks app and the website version display your bank entries correctly.

 

e can clear the app data of your application to refresh it and eliminate common errors that could cause the bank transactions not to show in your QuickBooks app. This can be done on your app or in your mobile settings. Let me show you how:

For the QBO app:

Android

 

  1. Select the menu at the top right and choose Settings.
  2. Then select Refresh Data and choose Yes.

 

iOS

 

  1. Select the menu at the top right and then choose Help & Feedback. 
  2. Then select Refresh Data and Refresh.

 

In your Phone Settings:

Android

 

  1. From your phone's settings, select Apps (varies by device).
  2. Choose the QuickBooks app from the list and select Storage.
  3. Select clear data.

 

iOS

 

  1. From your phone's settings, select Settings, then, click on General.
  2. Choose iPhone Storage.
  3. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

Thanks for the reply.  I have tried offloading some data but my phone has enough space.  I have also tried offloading the quickbooks app and then uploading it again to see if this refreshes it.

 

Your notes about refreshing the app I cannot follow - There is no menu top right (Ios version) and the "help" (top left and then "help") just takes me to the quickbooks assistant that is no use at all.

 

I've got the lastest version of quickbooks and have used it for a few years.  Frustrating not to work this out!

We also understand that those steps weren't able to resolve the issue, which makes it more challenging on your end. Right now, let's work together on fixing this. 

 

Since you already tried to offload your data and nothing happened. Another way to sync your QBO banking data to your app is by uninstalling it, then reinstalling it. This will renew the app as well as the connection of it to QBO, which will trigger the system to sync correctly. Then, open the app again if it's now syncing accurately.

 

However, if the issue persists, it's best to reach out to QuickBooks Online Support to help review the system of your account and be able to navigate the origin of the sync issue. Moreover, there are cases in which you're not the only one experiencing this issue that can lead the live support to create an investigation for it.
