A warm welcome to the Community, marksteelfab-yah.

QuickBooks Self Employed (QBSE) is designed to use a vehicle as part of business purposes since van tax isn't currently an option. You can choose the Vehicle tagging as the closest category in the system.

You can also reach out to your tax adviser. They'd be able to give you advice on how to report this type of expense and answer any tax-related questions.

I recommend editing, assigning, and categorizing your transactions. Doing so will help you ensure the accuracy of your financial records.

Additionally, you can visit the following write-up regarding how Schedule C categories show up on your financial reports: Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Even if this article is for QuickBooks Self-Employed US, the same principles can be applied to your UK account.

Feel free to post again if you have further questions about this or anything in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I’m always here to answer them for you and make sure you're taken care of. Have a good one.
