Welcome to the Community space, barnfarmshop.

Adjusting the resolution of camera in QuickBooks app, the quality of the captured image depends on your device's camera. Depending on the mobile device you're using, we may need to make sure that the format of the images is PDF, JPEG, JPG, GIF, and PNG (these are the compatible format supported by QuickBooks).

If we are apple users, we can convert it through HEIF and HEVC format. We can set these devices to capture media using the older formats, which are more broadly compatible with other devices and operating systems:

  1. Go to Settings and then click the Camera.
  2. Tap Formats.
  3. Select Most Compatible. This setting is available only on devices that can capture media in HEIF or HEVC format, and only when using iOS 11 or later.
  4. All new photos and videos will now use JPEG or H.264 format. To return to using the space-saving HEIF and HEVC formats, choose High Efficiency.

For Android:

  1. Open your camera application.
  2. You will see the Settings icon in the left bottom.
  3. Select resolutions.

I'm adding this article for more guidance: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
