Taking a snap of your receipts is my priority, @wilderallotmentk!

The latest updates with QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app are now accessible from the menus. A snap of your receipts is just a few clicks. Let me show you how.

  1. Open the QBO app on your mobile phone.
  2. Go to the Hamburger icon.
  3. Select Receipt snap.
  4. Click Receipt camera to take a photo of your receipts.
  5. Choose the best quality of the photos you've taken and select Use this photo.
  6. Tap Done.

I'm adding this article to learn more about taking a photo of your receipts while using the mobile app: Snap a photo of your Receipt or Bill on your Mobile Device.

You may also check this reference for a guide on how you'll forward the snapped receipts from your mobile app to QBO: How to Email your Expense Receipts and Bills to Get them into QuickBooks Online?

Do you have more questions about your photographing your receipts or any other tasks in QuickBooks? Let me know in the comments and I'll help you out.

Thank you, but what is the hamburger icon?

Hello there, @Simon247. Allow me to shed some light about your query.

A hamburger icon is also known as a Menu ≡ icon.

For visual reference, you can refer on the screenshot below.

Additionally, I’ll be adding this article about how to upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have any additional QuickBooks related concern. I’m just a few clicks away. Keep safe and stay hydrated!

I had this problem several months ago. The solution was to completely delete the app from my phone and reinstall it. It then reappeared and worked properly.

I just reinstalled the app for at least the 10th time...same result.

The Snap Receipt function is simply not displayed.

The ability to capture and code a receipt is now just basic functionality in any cloud-based accounting platform, you would think that this function not working for a group of customers would be a code red.

This must be a straightforward issue to diagnose for the QB development team...I'm just staggered that there is no interest in resolving this.
