Question

Accessing all my clients data as an accountant

I am logged into my clients account as an Accountant. They have a lot of things set up incorrectly so I need to be able to go in and change this for them. How do I get full access? I have tried changing the custom for styles and invoice address and are unable to save either. I am sure there will be more as I go foward.

Can anyone advise?

Many thanks,

Hey there, @zoecarpenter.

Once a client invites you to their QuickBooks Online account, you'll have full access to all features available in QuickBooks.

Having said, you should be able to save the changes in their custom form styles.

Sometimes local internet cache files stored in the system can cause unexpected behavior in the product. This can be the reason why you're unable to complete this action.

Let me share with you some basic troubleshooting steps that will help you fix this right away.

First, access their account using a private window. This mode doesn't record any activity on your local device. Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

Then, customise again the sales transaction.

If you're able to save it, clear the cache in your regular or else use another supported browser instead. This might be a temporary issue with QuickBooks and the current browser that you use.

Additionally, you can import and design custom form styles for their invoices or estimates in QBO. This will help you add their company info (such as company logo) to highlight their brand.

Keep me posted if you need anything else or if you have other questions about customising sales forms in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help. Have a great day.
