Can I change HMRC Gateway number to do MTD? I now have administrator status. Got the e mail but as user not admin can't connect. Where/how do I change it?

We'll just need to redo your MTD setup, Anne-Wilson. I'll walk you through the steps.


If you have a new gateway number from HMRC, you can turn off the MTD in QuickBooks. Then, turn it on again and use your new gateway number.

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and settings.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Click the Making Tax Digital section
  5. Turn off MDT.
