Can I change my QB account (provided free by my accountant) to paying QB direct as I'm leaving my accountant. Or will I lose my records if the account was set up them?

I can share steps to help you pay your QBO subscription directly without your accountant. To start, you'll have to reach out to your accountant and request to remove you from their billing. This will let you pay your own subscription, and this won't impact your accounting data. Below are the steps you can provide to them:

  1. Your accountant will need to make you the primary admin of the company file.
  2. The steps for them to do so are as follows; go to the Gear icon and choose Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Select the Your subscriptions tab.
  4. They have to choose your name from the list.
  5. From the Select actions dropdown, click Transfer billing to client.
  6. This will remove you from their client list and will make you pay your subscription.

Once done, you'll have read-only access to your QBO file. To start accessing your accounting data and make changes, you have to update your billing info

Don't hesitate to post again here if you need further assistance accessing your QBO account. I'm always here to help. Take care.

@ravenpropertyhul

Ask your accountant to transfer the Primary Admin role to you. If you are not sure they will do that easily, you should open a new blank QBO account immediately.

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/UK

then you may have 2 options as long as you are able to login as a Company Admin:

1. Utilize a migration tool

https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service.
