Hello, Paul.

Yes, and I'll point you to the right direction in changing and updating the password to delete the bill.

We can edit and change the closing date password in the Account and settings page. Make sure to sign in as a primary or company admin beforehand.

To change the password:

  1. Go to the Gear icon menu, then select Account and settings.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Expand the Accounting section.
  4. Edit and change the password and confirm it.
  5. Click Save and close afterwards.

Now, let's open the paid bill and delete it and enter the new closing books password. We can also make any other changes if needed.

Before doing this, however, let's keep in mind that deleting the paid bill will affect balances in the books, especially in a closed accounting period.

We would want to seek advice from an accountant if we want to make corrections in a closed accounting period. They can share their insights on how to ensure your books are accurate and correct when making the changes.

We can also take a look at this article in case you need a reference about editing your closed books: Edit your closed books

Want to review your financials after making the changes? We can utilise the Reports feature and run Balance Sheet or any other related reports.

Please let me know if there's anything else we need to work on regarding your bills and other expenses. If you'd like to record other entries on the current period, count me in and I'll ensure you'll be able to keep your records accurate and updated.
