Question

Can I keep access to my accounts as I have stopped trading so don't need my monthly subscription now?

Hi there, bopster. Let me share some additional information about accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account without paying the monthly subscription.

In QBO, once you decide to cancel your account, you'll need to do so manually to avoid charges.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBO account as an admin user.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Locate the plan you want to cancel, and click Cancel.

I've also added a screenshot for your visual reference.

Note that after you cancel your QuickBooks account, your data will be kept in a read-only access for a year so you can still access it whenever needed.

Also, I'd suggest exporting your data to an Excel file so you'll have an extra copy in case you can no longer access your QBO account.

In addition, if you've subscribed to QuickBooks through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you can refer to this article on how to cancel: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

Furthermore, if you wish to continue your business and resubscribe your QBO account, refer to this article: Resubscribe to or reactivate QBO.

Feel free to reach out if you have any concerns about canceling your QBO account. I'm here to help every step of the way.
