Can we hold the QB account for some time without making the subscription?

Let me address your concern, Sujith1.

 

Once an account is canceled, the data is available in read-only access for a year from the cancelation date. It means that you can still hold your account for a year without making or paying the subscription. During this time, you're unable to create any transactions. However, you can still open the reports.

As for your own insurance, utilize the exporter tool to export all you data out.
