Hello Laura-Barrie

Thank you for your message.

We advise our customers they can access the data in a read only format for 12 months after the cancellation date. Sometimes it can be a bit more than this, but we always set the expectation of 12 months read only after cancellation.

You can export information out of the software, such as reports, lists and copies of individual transactions in .pdf format, and excel in cases such as reports to maintain the records for longer if required.

Does this apply to QB Desktop pro?

Thanks for checking in with us, Stuart-tps.

Once your QuickBooks Desktop Pro expired, you can still access the software and the company files you've created. However, your access to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services, Live Support, Online Backup, Online Banking, and other services through QuickBooks Desktop software will be discontinued. This also means you'll no longer receive critical security updates. If that happens You'll want to upgrade to the latest version so you have continuous access to your payroll.

To learn more about this one, check out this article: QuickBooks Desktop Support Only Subscription Discontinuation.

We're always here if you need clarifications about the service discontinuation process. Just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you. Have a great day ahead.
