Cancelling Self Employed subscription

I took out self employed subscription and then subsequently found this option does not support my CIS billing. I queried this and was advised by Quickbooks to cancel the self employed subscription and take out the quickbooks for small business instead. I did as requested and cancelled the self employed and applied the Essentials option, however when the Essentials account setup - it directs me back to the self employed version and I still cannot do CIS but am not paying a much larger subscription fee.

I am not sure why the system transfers me back to the self employed version after I cancelled it

Help!!!

I can walk you through canceling your QuickBooks Self-Employed, Tomas Kvederys.

You can follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Billing Info, then click Cancel subscription

Feel free to check this article for more information: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.

If you've bought QBSE from the Apple app store or Google Play, your monthly subscription is with them, so you’ll need to cancel the account from there to cancel this auto-renew.

CIS deduction is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can use QBSE for mileage tracking and QB Essentials for CIS deductions.

 Keep safe!

I did as you suggested and found I seem to have 2 company names. If I choose Andy Bates I get

re directed to the quickbooks Self employed page, If I choose [email address removed]'s company name I get the Quickbooks Essentials.

I suppose I need to get rid of the company name 'Andy Bates'

However, although I can get CIS sorted in the essentials version, I now seem to be unable to track mileage in this version, nor does it seem to support an app for the phone (apple) as after downloading the app to the phone and access it - it just says this version not supported.

So it seems that neither the self employed version nor the essentials version does what I need it to do.

Being a CIS subcontractor I need to invoice with the CIS deduction recorded and as I travel a lot I need to be able to record mileage. Which Quickbooks version does both these specific items?

Hello there, Andy Bates,

CIS deduction is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can use QBSE for mileage tracking and QB Essentials for CIS deductions. You can keep two separate accounts.

You can use this link to download QuickBooks Online mobile app: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/quickbooks-accounting/id584606479?mt=8.

Check this article for more information: Compare mobile app features.

I’ll be here if you need further assistance.

I upgraded from QB self-employed to Simple. When I try to cancel my auto-renew in QB desktop version, it says I subscribed using the app and to cancel through Google Playstore. The Playstore does not show that I have this subscription and after filing a claim for Google to look, they cannot find this subscription. When I go back into QB self-employed, it says I am set to auto-renew. When I have inquired through QB help chats, they send me to Google. It's utterly ridiculous. I will dispute the charge as fraudulent in June if I am charged again but why can't this actually get solved prior to that?
