As an initial step, you can open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser, then update the email address from there. To save you time, you can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Here's how to update your email address (user ID):

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Intuit Account. This opens the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. Click the Sign in and security menu.
  3. Select the User ID, Email Address, or Password section.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Tap Save when finished.

If you're trying to update the email address for your sales forms and where you get emails from Intuit, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Select Account and Settings from the Gear icon.
  2. Go to the Company menu.
  3. Click on the pencil icon beside Contact info
  4. Make the necessary changes, then tap Save.

Once done, you need to clear your original browser's cache to start fresh.
