Hi I have had an email asking me to connect to my bank and asking for bank details such as password / security code ? Is this a genuine update ?

Hi neilvaughan,

 

We have been sending communication to customers to upgrade their bank connection in QuickBooks - this is in line with changes implemented for Open Banking guidelines in the UK which came into effect in March. Upgrading the connection requires you to sign-into QuickBooks where you will be re-directed temporarily to your online bank to enter security details to authorise the connection. You can read more about open banking on the link here
