Question

Hi, I’m new to QuickBooks, I’m trying to add my tax information but it keeps saying my address is not in the country? Is there a way to change this or get past this?

Welcome to the Community, @unwindwithkelly.

I suggest using the Address Validation API for the tool to validate and provide suggested alternatives if an error occurs. If it's valid and the problem persists, please try performing some basic troubleshooting.

I've checked, and we haven't received any reported cases similar to your issue. Also, I've tried replicating on my test account, and everything seems working fine.

As initial troubleshooting, let's log into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed sites, causing some unusual behavior.

Here are the keyboard shortcut keys:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox or Internet Explorer).
  • Control Option (Safari).

If it works, switch back to your current browser and clear its cache. Sometimes, it becomes overwhelmed with older data, which can lead to viewing and performance issues.

Performing the clearing process will refresh the system, and you'll be able to start QuickBooks in a clean slate. However, if the issue persists, I suggest using other supported browsers.

Please know that I'm only a few clicks away if you have any other issues or concerns. I'll be happy to help. Have a great one.
