Question

Hi there. I am going on maternity leave from now until the end of January, as a result I won't be using my QuickBooks. How do I put my account on hold?

Welcome to the Community, emmalucybreedon.

I'm here to share some information regarding putting your QuickBooks account on hold.

Right now, putting your account on hold is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, you can temporarily cancel your QuickBooks account and resubscribe after your maternity leave.

Once canceled, your account will be available in read-only access for one year from the cancellation date. Here's how to cancel the account:

  1. Select Settings ⚙ and then Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  4. Select Continue to cancel, then select the Continue to cancel button (if it shows on your screen).
  5. Follow the next steps.
  6. Select Submit and cancel subscription.
  7. Select Got it.

If you want to reactivate your account, you can always visit this link for the detailed steps: How to resubscribe or reactivate QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have any other QuickBooks concerns. I'd be more than willing to answer them for you. Have a good one.
