How do I cancel a clients subscription?

We have a clients whose business has ceased trading and we no longer require their subscription therefore we would like to cancel. How do we do this?

Good day, @julie184.

 

Let me help you cancel your client's subscription in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Canceling an account requires Primary admin access. If you have this access, then simply follow these steps to cancel their subscription. 

 

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings.
  2. Click Billing & subscription.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, click Cancel subscription or Cancel online
  4. Follow the onscreen steps.

 

In case your client is the master admin of the account, they can transfer the role to you to cancel their subscription. 


After canceling their your client's account, their data will be available in read-only access. If you need to see your data after this date, you'll need to resubscribe to QBO. For more info, please check out What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?
