We can guide you through the process to help you pay your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription directly without your accountant.

You need to reach out to your accountant and request them to remove you from their billing. This lets you pay your own subscription and it won't impact your accounting data. Here are the steps you can provide to them:

  1. Your accountant will need to make you the primary admin of the company file.
  2. They need to go to the Gear icon and choose Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Select the Your subscriptions tab.
  4. They have to choose your name from the list.
  5. From the Select actions dropdown, click Transfer billing to client. This removes you from their client list for you to pay your subscription.

Once done, you'll have read-only access to your QBO file. To start accessing your accounting data and make changes, you have to update your billing info.

Moreover, you can check out this article for more details about adding another company to the program: Create or add another company file to QuickBooks Online.

We are just one post away if you need further assistance managing your QBO account or any QuickBooks-related concerns. We are always here to help. Take care.
