I am no longer trading. How to I cancel my Quickbooks Accountant account?

    Hello Community Users! As the Quickbooks Accountant version is not billed it does not have a cancellation option. You can remove any data in the account through the manage your personal data option  here

    I can guide you on how to cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription, @ClaireR.

     

    You can cancel your QBO account on the Billing & Subscription page. Then, your data will be available in read-only access for one year from the cancellation date.

     

    Here's how: 

    1. Go to the Gear icon.
    2. Choose Account and Settings and click Billing & Subscription.
    3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel (paid subscription) or Cancel Trial (if you’re using a trial).
    4. Click Continue to Cancel twice.
    5. Finally, answer the exit survey questions (to help us make QuickBooks better), then scroll down and select Confirm Cancel.

    Then, you'll receive an email confirmation that you canceled your online subscription plan.

    Hi, this is only applicable if I have a 'paying' subscription, I have the Quick Books 'Accountant' package therefore I do not pay... there is no option to cancel my account in my subscription and billing account?

    How do I cancel my 'Accountant' account? Thank you

    Hello @ClaireR,

     

    As much as I'd love to offer help and share how you can cancel your account with QuickBooks Online Accountant, we've got separate support who can address this in no time.

     

    That said, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. With their tools, one of our specialists can pull up your account on file and walk you through the steps on how to cancel it. To do so:

    1. Go to Help.
    2. Select Contact Us.
    3. Enter Cancel account with QuickBooks Online Accountant in the What can we help you with? field.
    4. Click Continue.
    5. Choose a channel where you wish to connect with our dedicated support.

    Hi triple actions Cleaners, if you're billed by Intuit directly you can cancel your subscription by calling our cancellations team on 0808 168 4280 (Mon-Thurs 9 am - 5.30 pm, Fri 9 am - 5 pm, free from UK mobile & landlines), for other cancellation options click here 🙂

    I am no more trading into the business or I could not get into the business. I have called George at least 4 times to cancel my subscription but no one listens and there are no call backs just there is message to leave a message for George. I am struggling from last 3 months but no one from the quick books is taking care off. 

    In my quickbooks settings there is on option to unsubscribe or cancel / suspend the subscription. Quickbook is taking monthly payments continuously. This is not good from the quickbooks.

     

    I strongly urge George to pls look into and cancel my subscription.

    Since you're unable to unsubscribe your QuickBooks Accountant,  I suggest contacting our technical support. I know that you've already reached us for the same reason. However, you can this issue deals with private information and is best handled in a secure environment through our support.
