Nothing comes up when I load into the app

To start, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses. Let's start accessing your account using a different or a private browser. You can use either of these shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Once the page loads successfully, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is done to speed up the process next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks Online. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

 

If you're logging in to QuickBooks app, it's possible the app needs an update to keep up with your device compatibility. Also, the app stores cache files that can sometimes cause an unusual response to the system. You can clear the app's cache first by following these steps:

 

In the QuickBooks Online app:

  • Android: From More Options ⋮, select Settings, then select Refresh Data. Then, tap Yes.
  • iOS: From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback, select Refresh Data, and then select Refresh.

 

In your device Settings:

  • Android: From your device's Settings, select Apps (varies by device), choose QuickBooks app from the list, and then select Storage. Finally, select clear data.
  • iOS: From your device's Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage and choose an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

 

If issue persists, you'll want to uninstall and update your device first if needed and then reinstall the app to refresh the system.
