Question

invoice templates for multiple brands

I run multiple websites and I want to generate invoices from quickbooks from each brand.

I have created an invoice template for each brand in quickbooks, but the customisation fields don't seem to be working properly.
Whenever I change any of the company details on any template, it changes it on all the others templates as well.

I have spoken to QB support, but all I got from them was "that's how it is designed", which doesn't make any sense.

Why would you design it so that it intentionally doesn't work?

that is like designing a door that won't open and close.

Hello Captain-Obvious,

You can use the import style feature to create a template for each brand. This way, you can customize each company details. I'll walk you through how.

First, let's enable your import option. Here's how:

  1. Click Gear.
  2. Click QuickBooks Labs.
  3. Switch to On button to enable.
  4. Click Done.

Then, let's import an invoice by following these steps:

  1. Click Gear.
  2. Click Custom Form Styles.
  3. Click the New style drop-down, and click Import style.
  4. You can download the sample invoice and make edit your custom invoices.
  5. Upload the invoice and map your template with QuickBooks.
  6. Click Save and enter a template name.
  7. Click Save.

Once done, create an invoice using the imported template.

I've attached some screenshots for you.
