You did a great job in bringing this matter to us, @Broker416.

It's a good idea not to let them have a complete verification from you. It keeps them from gaining access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII). I'm here to provide additional information to help you identify official Intuit emails and sort things out.

Scammers use emails to trick users into disclosing personal information or to download malware-infected attachments to gain unauthorized access to data sources. Some of them appear and claim to be from Intuit. Please note that Intuit emails will always come from an email address with the domain name @intuit.com. Let's make sure not to open or access any links that don't have that domain name.

You can also report this one to our Security Team to ensure your data is well protected.

Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://security.intuit.com/contact-us.
  2. Search for Report technical support scams.
  3. Hit Report tech support scams.

I've also added the following article to learn more about managing scams or any other fraudulent activities: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.

For additional QuickBooks-related concerns, don't hesitate to post them here in the Community. We're always available and willing to lend a hand to your queries. Have a great day ahead.
