Multi Users Not Communicating

We have successfully installed QuickBooks Pro on a second desktop laptop with the help of a customer service rep via the phone. They  had us connect to two laptops together and when they were side by side, the transactions were updating on both laptops, regardless of which user completed them. When the second laptop was taken away from the first one (different homes), the transactions made by the first initial user were not showing up on the second laptop and vise versa.

It is possible the Support has configured one of the computers as the host. Try to find any file of *.QBW in both computers. If you found it in computer A, computer B has to connect to computer A to open the file. You may using a remote desktop solution to access it by internet connection.
