Question

My accountant has informed me that my VAT period in Quickbooks is showing 01/10/2019 to 31/12/2019 when it should be 01/10/2019 to 31/03/2020. Can anyone assist please?

Hello there, @midkentaesthetic.

I'd like to ensure that you'll be able to determine the correct date of your VAT period so you'll be able to submit your return successfully.

To verify the exact submission date of your return, I recommend logging in to your HMRC account. This way, you'll be able to confirm which dates they are expecting you to submit it.

Once verified, you can change the end date by clicking on Submit return within the Taxes tab and change the End Date to the desired date.

If you're getting an error upon changing the dates. It'd be best to contact our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to check on the status of your return and help you with the modification.
