One of my users has a new laptop and has tried to reconnect but cannot.

This is their message: I received new laptop and my password for entering the QB was deleted. Unfortunately, I don’t remember it and I can’t restore it - user has to go through double-check identification and when the second one gives me an error. And I don’t know what to do.

Let me help one of your users to access their QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

 

They can do a password reset to help recover their account. To reset password or recall user ID, here's how:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Online sign-in page.
  2. Select I forgot my user ID or Password.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.

They can also do it from the account manager for Intuit services. Visit this link to reset: Intuit Account Manager.
