Online License transfer

My Accountant setup my Online account and I pay her for my license.  I have changed accountants, how do I transfer my license and remove her?

The accountant will have to transfer the Master Admin to you, you have to be a company admin user to enable the MA to be transferred to you: The accountant will have to access your account from within their accountant profile, select the cog icon in the top right hand corner of the screen, select manage users, your name will be listed and there will be a drop down menu to the right, select the drop down arrow and select transfer Master Admin.

Your accountant will then have to remove your company from their Wholesale Billing, as you have stated they are using one of their licenses. To do this they will have to go to the dashboard/homepage of their accountant profile, select the cog icon in the top right hand corner of the screen, select Your Account, your company will be listed and there will be a drop down menu to the right of Select Action, select the drop down arrow and select Transfer billing to client.

 

You will then have to access/login to your account and enter billing details, you should receive a prompt/link to enable you to do this as soon as you login.

I don't understand the question.  I am on an the Quickbooks forum and I said I had the online product, I don't understand what other information you need.

Hello there, Sonya1.

 

Once you're the account's master admin, you can easily remove the accountant user from your company. Then, there's no need to transfer the license or account if you're the admin. 

 

Here's how to remove an accountant:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage Users.
  3. Go to the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Choose the accountant, then click Delete.
  5. You'll receive a message, "Delete accountant name?", click Delete.

You'll receive an email confirmation once it's successfully removed.

 

Though, if your accountant is set up as the master admin, you'll have to let them transfer the role. You can provide this article for the steps: How to transfer the role of Master Administrator.
