We use the bank feeds from American Express, Metro Bank, and TSB and none of them work since March '20. HMRC in the UK has recommended this shower of a software because it works with Making Tax Digital and exactly at the next quarter it all falls apart. Does QB contact us and tell us there is a problem? No! Do they tell the truth when you spend 60mins waiting for a callback? No. So the question is, have any of you managed to switch to another provider and transfer all your data over so you can continue as you would expect to from a global accounting software company. Any comments welcome from other small businesses in the same position.

I'm here to help you download your bank transactions, HJ12345.

I understand that we need the bank feeds to easily manage our bank transactions. QuickBooks Online needs to comply with the new Open Banking regulations. However, not all banks are ready for the new banking connection. This is why your banks don't automatically download the transactions. You can check this article to see the list of banks with accounts available on Open Banking.

For those banks that don't support Open Banking, like American Express and Metro Bank, you'll have to manually import the transactions. For TSB Bank, you'll want to upgrade it to get the transactions downloaded to QuickBooks Online.

I've added these links for more details about banking:

I'll be right here if you have more questions. Stay safe!
