Hi

After amalgamation our Charity is moving all existing payrolls to our existing Adv QBO system.  Please advise the best way to import staff data en masse as I don't want to have to put each in individually.

Many thanks

We can import employee's name by batch using either XLSX or CSV template, KSC1.

The best way to get started is by exporting the XLSX or CSV template file first, adding data to it, and then importing it into QuickBooks. To export the template:

  1. Click Export Employees, then from the Data type drop down, choose an Empty Template.
  2. Select whether you want to work with an XLSX or CSV Template.

Afterward, you're good to import by clicking Add Employee on the Payroll page and select Import Employees.

I've also added this reference as your reference for more information: Employee import via Excel/CSV in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.

I'll be around if there's anything that I can help. Keep safe!
