Viewing and printing final credit note

I have transferred my subscription to my accountant firm and have been emailed a notification of an adjusting credit note. How do I view and print this credit note? If I go to Accounts & Settings > Billing & Subscription it now tells me:

"Have questions about your subscription?
You currently don't have permission to view subscription details. Reach out to your QuickBooks admin for more info."

But I am the master admin for the account! Please confirm the process for accessing the credit note - thanks.

Hi there, rjwbailey.

I'm here to provide you information about viewing and printing credit notes. Then, route you to the right QuickBooks Support.

You should still able to view/print all historic invoices or credit notes after transferring your subscription to your accountant since you're the master admin. I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account to investigate the cause of the error. And, why you're unable to access the said entries.

Here's how to contact them:

1. Open your QuickBooks Account.

2. At the top right, click the Help icon.

3. Click Contact Us.

4. Under What can we help you with?, enter your concern about unable to access credit note.

5. Click Let's Talk.

6. You'll be routed into the Choose a way to connect with us page.

  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

7. Select how you want to contact them and fill in the information.

Please check this article to see steps on how you can set up, adjust, or check the printing alignment for all sales forms you create in QuickBooks Online: Print sales forms.

Don't hesitate to post again here in QuickBooks Community. I'm always here to help.

Thanks - support couldn't fix the problem but they did email me all the invoices/credit notes for the old billing so I now have the PDF copies.

I have another client with the same issue - she can't see any of her historic invoices since I took over her invoicing - so I guess I have to do it all again some day. And, yes, she is the master admin for her company and always has been :-(

Hello, @rjwbailey.

When your account is under the wholesale billing, the accountant is the one paying Intuit for the subscription including all their clients. While the accountant is responsible for what they are charging you for the subscription. That said, you need to reach out to your accountant for the billing details.

To learn more about wholesale billing, check out this link.

Also, read the articles from under the Topic for QuickBooks Online section in case you need additional guides while working with QuickBooks in the future.

I understand the point about wholesale billing, but that relates to invoices going forwards. This credit note is the final transaction of the 'old' billing, before the sub was transferred to the accountant. Therefore the accountant cannot access it.

Please advise the process for viewing it - I should still be able to view/print all historic invoices and/or credit notes before the transfer took place. Nobody warned me when I transferred my sub to the accountant that I would lose sight of all billing history?! We need to print/save these documents and retain for 7 years for VAT purposes.
