What shall I do. I have just paid my monthly subscription, but my subscription status says expired?

Hello, Stuart Washington.

 

I'm sure you're excited to work on your QuickBooks Online profile. We can do these steps to help you activate your subscription. 

 

Let's make sure you're using the correct login details where you paid for your subscription. You'll want to check all of your active email addresses for the confirmation receipt. When you find the receipt in one of them, you'll want to use it to log in to your account.

If you're having issues with the password, just click on the I forgot my user ID or password link below. 

 

If you're logged in with the correct details, then a cache issue might be preventing the system from syncing properly. To see if this is the case, log in to your account using an incognito or private window. This is a good way to prevent the corrupted cache data from being used. 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Double-check your subscription status from there. If it's active, then you'll want to go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Alternatively, using a different supported browser works, too. 

 

If you're using the QuickBooks Online WIndows or Mac app, you can try resetting its app data. Click on the Help menu (on the tool bar), then select Reset App Data. Close the app, then reopen it after. 

 

If your subscription is still expired, I'd recommend contacting our support at this point. You can still do this even if you have an expired subscription. Our support agents can check your subscription with their tools and help you activate it. 

  1. Click the Help icon. 
  2. Hit the Contact Us button. 
  3. Type "My subscription is still expired after paying" or similar in the text box 
  4. Click Let's talk.
  5. Select Start a chat
