Question

When attempting to login, I’m being asked “choose how you want to verify your identity” but I’m being given no options. Next step would be good? (Can’t get support!)

I’ve been unable to reach support as it needs me to be logged in and the mobile app will only let me post here.

I know it can be incredibly frustrating when the cause of an error isn’t obvious. Let me help you sign into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, outdoorscg.

 

There are a few ways to sign in with just one piece of information, such as your email, phone number, or user ID. If you enter the email address associated with your QuickBooks account, Intuit will send a one-time code to that email to access your account. If you can't remember which email you used, try entering your phone number and Intuit will text you a one-time code to access your account.

 

Also, the security of your device can prevent QuickBooks Online from working. You can make an exception when adding it to your browser as a trusted site. Here’s how.

 

  1. Find out how to add trusted sites to your browser.
  2. Add these links to your browser’s trusted sites (https://qbo.intuit.com or https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/). 
  3. Restart your browser.
  4. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.

 

If you still can’t sign in, sometimes all you need is a fresh start. To clear the current state and issues in the background of your device, do a quick restart. Here's how:

 

  1. Turn off your computer and your internet modem. If you use a wireless router or server, unplug it.
  2. Wait for 30 seconds, then turn on your modem. After another 30 seconds, plug in your router or server.
  3. Turn on your computer.
  4. Sign into your QuickBooks Online account.
