Question

After making a purchase using my QBO connected Bank Account through my QBO connected PayPal Account, I now see the same transaction on both accounts. Please Help!!!

Help has arrived, @onesimpleruleltd. I’ll make sure this issue gets resolved.


You mentioned you saw the same transaction on both accounts. Did you check every detail on each entry, like names, amounts, dates, etc.? If everything is similar, you can either exclude your bank or PayPal transaction to prevent duplicates.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Transactions or Banking menu, then select Banking.
  2. Under For Review tab, select the checkbox of the transaction to exclude.
  3. Click Exclude.

Once done, you can continue categorizing and matching your online bank and PayPal transactions in the program. Then, use this reference to ensure your accounts are balanced and accurate: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
