An employee has opted out of auto-enrolment pension.

When re-enrolment date arrives, will QBO Advanced Payroll automatically re-enrol them and how is that deduction repaid to them once they have opted out again?

Welcome to the Community page. 

So advanced payroll will opt them back in so you would need to manually go and change it in the system. If you have a look at this link tells its about the legal re enrollment procedure, but the employer can opt them out again any applied to the pension provider claim it back.
