BiWeekly Payroll Change of Cycle Days

Biweekly payroll changed from Wednesday-Tuesday biweekly period to Monday-Sunday biweekly. This led to an overlap of two days for the first payroll period of the change. How do we account for salaried employees with this one-time overlap?

We are using QuickBooks Online payroll core package with quickbooks advanced plan.

we had two days deducted from salaried employees due to the overlap, and don't feel that is correct, but don't know of another way to do it.
