Can you explain why updated my banking details when requested DON'T reflect actual activity - I am with Barclays Commercial- why?

I'd like to ease your confusion, Nick68.

 

QuickBooks Online depends on what your bank shares. It could be those transactions aren't cleared yet.

 

Although, if these transactions are already cleared, you can manually update the account in QuickBooks Online. This will refresh the connection between your bank and our program. Here's how:

  1. Click Banking.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Select the bank account, then click Update

I'll also share the reference on what to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error for more information.
