Hello Hptransport,

Welcome to the Community page,

What is happening when you try and reauthorise the connection?

Are you getting any error messages or codes showing up?

What bank are you with?

So I know what exactly I'm doing to reauthorise my bank account with nationwide building society but everytime I complete the procedure the quick books app freezes at the last hurdle and I just have an eternally spinning green circle and no connection between the app and my bank account.  Anyone else having this problem - or better still a solution?

Hello there, @Scott11_2 Burton.

I'd like to ensure you'll get the correct information about the odd behavior.

It could be that a browser issue is causing the green circle. Let's follow the recommendation below to resolve this unexpected behavior.

  1. Refresh your browser by clicking the Reload icon or pressing F5 on your keyboard.
  2. Or, you can log in to your account through an incognito window.
  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

If everything works, we can clear the cache of your regular browser. This helps remove any browser-related issues and refresh your browser's settings. You can also use other compatible browsers in QuickBooks Online.

.

If the same things happen, you can manually upload the bank transactions using the CSV file to continue bringing them to QuickBooks.

Download transactions from your bank by logging in to your bank's website. Then, follow the given instructions on how to download transactions and save the file on your desktop or anywhere you can easily find it.

Once done, upload them to your book by following these steps:

  1. Sign to your QBO account and select Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Click Link account drop-down arrow.
  3. Select Upload from file. Then, click the file you've saved on your computer.

You can use these articles as additional reference in fixing bank upload errors, categorizing transactions after importing them, and the reconciliation workflow in QBO:
