Nice to have you in the Community space, Rahul.

I’d be glad to guide walk you through the steps on how to import your bank statement in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QuickBooks lets you upload your statement using a CSV file. You can either choose the 3 column or 4 column format when importing the file.

The 3 column format has a Date, Description, and Amount column. While the 4 column format has a Date, Description, Credit and Debit column. I’ve attached a screenshot below for your visual reference.

You can also check this article for more details: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

Once done, you can now start importing your transactions. Here’s how.

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Upload transactions.
  3. Click Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Next.
  4. In the QuickBooks account drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then click Next.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Next.
  6. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then click Next.
  7. Click Yes, and select Let's go.
