Hi there, clairemynard.

Are you getting 101, 350, 355, 590, or 9999 error codes when connecting your HSBC account? If so, we have an on-going investigation about this connection issue. Our engineers are working on resolving this as soon as possible.

I'd also recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team, so we can add your company information to the list of affected users.   Before doing so, please check our support hours here. Then follow these steps:

  1. Click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button located at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click Let's talk.
  4. Select Start messaging or Get a callback.

On the other hand, if your financial institution have multiple bank names in the search field, you'll want to try connecting all the matching options.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the GearBank accounts.
  2. Select the Connect another account button and search for the bank name.
  3. Click the bank's name to sign in.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions in connecting your bank account.

You can also search using the URL you normally use to sign in to your bank if you're still unable to find the bank by name. I've got this article for reference: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Otherwise, manually import your bank transactions by following the steps in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll be around to help you some more. Thanks.
