Connection to my bank account has been lost? Bank tells me its connected, QB looks as if its not? A/c is visible in QB but says 'checking' but no facility to click on it?

Have tried disconnecting both apps and reconnecting. No joy

Under normal circumstances, reconnecting your bank should be a smooth process. As it appears to be posing a challenge for you, we can undertake troubleshooting measures to address and resolve this issue.

 

There are instances when the browser is full of commonly used page resources, which results in errors or odd behavior. Let's use a different or private browser to view your account. You can use any of these shortcut keys to access one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Then, reconnect your bank to QuickBooks. Once it's successful, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is done to speed up the process the next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

 

In the meantime, we can use the Web Connect feature in QuickBooks. This is a type of file you can download from your bank's website and then upload then in QuickBooks Online. The other option is to use a CSV file format.
