credit card end of reconciling

Hi I really need some help with my reconciling. The last 2 months I have reconciled my credit card  and they have both had a difference of £88.86 but I have checked and double checked all of the transactions on bank statement, checked the credit card register and still cannot find this amount anywhere. My accountant told me to just put it down as a expense discrepancy , which I did and it went to zero, but when i went to do the next month the amount was there again so I did the same again. I am now trying to do the next month and it is there again !!!!! The details at the top of the screen regarding the amounts is correct, the transactions amount, the payments amount and how many transactions are all correct, also the start and ending balance are correct. 

Please please help !!!!

I can help you fix your ending balances when reconciling your credit card account. 

 

These are a few reasons why you're having issues with the ending balances:

 

  • An incorrect ending balance was entered at the start of the reconciliation
  • There are missing or duplicate transactions 
  • There were entered transactions into QuickBooks that haven't cleared your bank yet

To help you fix the difference, you can check out this link about fixing issues at the end of reconciliation in QuickBooks Online. I'd still suggest that you seek help from an accountant so they can advise which step to make that's specific to your concern.
