Currency Symbol

I have a GBP Bank feed but the currency symbol is Euro's. How can I change this? Base currency of the account is Euro.

Hi,

As per attached there is no option to select GBP. The drop down is frozen.

Chart of Accounts is set up as €

It's not possible to change the currency of the account once this has been created, so in this instance, we'd need you to disconnect the live feed and then make the Chart of Account inactive if you won't be needing this (select the drop-down beside this).

 

You can then create a new CoA in GBP currency, and re-connect to this. Get back to us if you have any Q's. 🙂

Where is your company located? If you are located in UK, you should use QBO UK version and GBP would be your home currency. You have to enable the multi currency feature to set a bank account with another currency.

Hi Fiat Lux,

 

Thanks for your response. 

 

We are located in Ireland so our home currency is set to Euro, also have multicurrency turned on.

For our Sterling account bank feed the amount is correct but the Symbol is wrong showing as €, how can I change this to £.

Hello Relhcstirt, Can we ask how is the account set up? In the chart of accounts please check if the bank is gbp and if connected should be gbp. Can you also send us some screenshots so we can have a visual of what your seeing as well thanks,
