Question

Does anybody know why there is nowhere to tick items off on bank account reconciliation and why deposits don't show the amount?

Let's work together and isolate the issue on why you're unable to tick the items off in your reconciliation, @littleshopoffabr.

I recommend logging out and logging back in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) to refresh the system. If this is not the case, I propose accessing your account in a private or incognito window. This way, we can check if this is a browser's cache issue.

The browser uses cache and cookies to swiftly load web pages faster the next time you visit a page. However, too much of it causes discrepancies that affect the views and performance of your account. Using an incognito window helps us verify the issue as this doesn't save any data files.

To open a private window, you can refer to these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browsers)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

If you’re able to view the amount of the deposits and tick the items off, I’d propose clearing your regular browser's cache to refresh the system. If the issue remains, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can see and check if this is a browser-integrated issue.

Additionally, I'd suggest working with your accountant for guidance. This way, we can guarantee the accuracy of your accounts after making these changes.
