Question

Does anyone know how to actually speak to an advisor? I'm trying to download a bunch of missing bank transactions and it keeps failing.

One possible reason you're unable to upload those transactions into QuickBooks is that their file formats are incompatible, Kaf. Let me provide you with some insights on what file formats are accepted by QuickBooks in a bit.

Before we get started, can you please share the error message you're receiving? Also, any screenshots will help us give you the appropriate resolution with regards to your concern.

Prior to manually importing, ensure your bank data is in the correct format. Each bank's .CSV format can vary, so some .CSVs may not be compatible with QuickBooks. If your bank doesn't provide .CSV exports, you can upload statements in formats such as Quicken (.QFX), QuickBooks Online (.QBO), Microsoft Money (.OFX), or text (.TXT).

Kindly check the Learn about CSV formats section for mandatory fields required for successful imports in this article: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks. Remember, only spreadsheets with fewer than 1000 rows and under 350 KB can be imported.

Furthermore, I'll share this article to assist you with categorisation: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
