Does anyone know why the bank balance on the dashboard differs from the one on the reconciliation screen? The bank had been reconciled but the dashboard balance in wrong.

Hi there, @rob-yesthatcount. Let me provide some info to clear up your confusion.

 

If you connect your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO), it'll automatically display your real-life bank balance on the Dashboard. When reconciling, we only confirm transactions included in the bank statement for a specific period. The following are a few reasons why it doesn't match your QuickBooks balance:

 

  • Outstanding transactions
  • New transactions for a connected account
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Edited or deleted transactions
  • Credit card (liability) account
