Hi,

I have a metro bank feed that has been working for some time.  I have been having problems getting a new bank metro to work keeps going around in circles trying to authorise.  In the end I decided to delete the mettle account and re add it but by mistake I deleted the metro live account.  I re added that and now loads of duplicate transactions want reviewing.  What should I do ? Delete this new duplicate and some how restore the original?

thanks in advance

Hi there, @tom11_2. I'll share details about duplicate bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Disconnecting a bank account inside your company and activating it again can create duplicate transactions inside your bank feeds. If the downloaded bank transaction is a duplicate of those, you've already recorded it inside your company. Excluding it is the best way to handle the situation.

I'll gladly input the process below to get you going. These are the steps:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to Bookkeeping.
  3. Select Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  4. Click the For Review tab.
  5. Check the box of the duplicate transactions you want to exclude.
  6. Press Exclude.

To learn more about the process, feel free to visit this handy article: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, here's an article to learn more about reconciling an account inside QBO:  Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

I'd also recommend checking this page about to help you handle issues after reconciling an account: Fix issues the first time you reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

We'll be more than happy to have you here again if you need help performing specific tasks inside your company. Stay safe, and have a nice day!
