Error 390 then QB won't let me disconnect my account to reconnect it

When trying to sync my bank transactions I get a message:

 

Until you upgrade your bank connection, your transactions will stop automatically flowing into QuickBooks. To upgrade your bank connection, you will need to disconnect and reconnect your account. (390)

 

So I go to the 'edit account info' and tick 'disconnect this account on save' as per the instructions and I then get the message:

 

Something’s not quite right
There was a problem saving your changes. Please try again later.
 
This has been happening for over a week.....
 
Any suggestions (I've tried different browsers and also clearing the cache)

Thanks for sharing the error message you’ve received, @ianbuss.


I see the importance of having to sync your bank transactions to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Currently, there’s an open investigation where some users are unable to disconnect and reconnect their bank account. Rest assured our engineering team is looking for ways to fix this as soon as possible.

 

In the meantime, let’s upload your bank transactions manually in your QBO account. This way, you can still continue to perform your work. Here’s how to import your transactions:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card website and follow the instructions on how to download transactions to your computer.
  2. Review the file size and format (maximum file size is 350 KB, file format supported CSV, QBO, QFX).
  3. Then go to the Banking or Transactions menu in your QBO account.
  4. Click the Baking tab.
  5. Select your bank.
  6. Click the Update drop-down menu.
  7. Simply click File upload.

Also, I recommend getting in touch with our Support team so they can add you to the list of affected users. Once there’s any news and updates available, you’ll be notified via email.

 

Once all is set, you can now categorise these transactions to easily match them in your QBO account.
