Question

Hi my business bank account will no longer connect with quickbooks ever since they updated it to "open banking" any help? Every time I reconnect to update nothing happens

"UK Open Banking regulation requires you to authorise your bank connections every 90 days. Reconnect now to keep your transactions coming into QuickBooks" - it says this and reconnect so I log into my banking as instructed and there is just a loading icon that spins around wanting to connect the bank with quickbooks and nothing actually happens

Greetings, @chad30.

I'd like to get this banking issue resolved right away. Can you share the name of your bank account? This way, I can check here on my end if there are related issues reported by other users. Additional information will help us narrow things down.

In the meantime, you'll want to import your transactions in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. I'd be glad to guide you how.

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow the instructions to download the transactions to your computer as CSV. file.
  3. Once done, open your QBO and go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  4. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  5. Click the Update ▼drop-down and select File upload.

Here's an article you can read for more insights in uploading your transactions to QBO: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can now match and categorise the transactions to easily track them.

Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. I'm always around to assist you. Have a great day and take care!
