Hiya, anybody experienced issues connecting back with hsbc bank feeds after connection expiry?

Hello there, alexvenn.

 

I'm here to provide details about reconnecting your HSBC bank feeds to QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, you'll be able to determine the things you need to perform in keeping your account updated.

 

Some subscribers having issues while reconnecting their HSBC account to QuickBooks after their connection expired. Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about it and I assure you that our product engineers are actively working to have a permanent fix as soon as possible.

 

In the meantime, I recommend importing your transactions manually to keep your HSBC account updated. You'll have to download transactions from your bank and upload it to QBO. I'll guide you how. 

  1. Go to the Banking/Transactions menu.
  2. Select the blue tile for HSBC.
  3. Click the Update button.
  4. Choose File upload.
  5. Click Browse, select the file you downloaded.
  6. From the QuickBooks account drop-down menu, select HSBC, then click Next.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  8. Match the columns on the file with the banking fields in QuickBooks, then click Next.
  9. Select Let's go.

 

Once done importing, your transactions will be displayed in the Banking menu's For review tab. From there, the system will automatically match any records you’ve already entered. To learn more about it, you can check out this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions.
