How do I find (using search option) a product that I've sold in the past. Typing the description of it but nothing comes up

Welcome to the Community, prosmartbodyworx. When using the transactions search in QuickBooks Online, simply adjust the filters to fit your criteria and then select More Filters. From here, you can use the Products & service drop-down menu to search by item.

If you're unable to locate the transaction this way, try running a report instead. For example, the Sales by customer detail report includes the description field. After adjusting the fields on the report, press Ctrl + F to open the Find command. Then, enter your text and press enter. Any matches will be highlighted for you on screen.
